9 Skincare Products For Dry Skin – Dry Skin Relief

I have very dry skin and finding the right products for it can be hard, especially as my skin changes throughout the year and a lot of the time I am in need of dry skin relief. So here I am with 9 skincare products for dry skin that will help you with your dry skin.

Before you look into trying products to soothe your dry skin, it’s good to think about why your skin is dry. Is it naturally dry? Do you need more oils on your skin? Are you dehydrated in general?

When my dry skin is really bad, it’s usually after a reaction or flare-up or when I am really dehydrated and not been drinking enough fluids. If you are like me and not overly keen on plain water, you can either drink herbal tea or fizzy water with cordial in.

You also need to consider why you have dry skin. Is it naturally dry or related to a skin condition such as eczema? You can consider the best eczema cream that will target eczema, then consider other topical products for the dryness after.

If you find you just have naturally dry skin, you can then look at topical products for your dry skin.

9 Skincare Products For Dry Skin – Dry Skin Relief

These products have all been tried and tested, some have been reviewed throughout my blog at some point and will link to them, or the reviews will be coming up and linked at a later date.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil

A lot of my skincare targeted for my dry skin is from Trilogy and do use them a lot, from the cleansing balm below to the Trilogy Rosehip Oil.

This really softens the skin, works on the dry areas and nourishes and soothes skin conditions on the face.

I’ve used this from general dryness to whilst in a flare-up and it has really helped and gentle and natural.

This is really good especially at night or when your face is really tight and itchy/sore and pop a drop on and give it a gentle massage.

Rosehip is really good for reducing inflammation on the skin, nourishing and hydrating thirst quenched skin. If you have anything from eczema, contact dermatitis to rosacea – using a good quality Rosehip oil is really beneficial to help heal and repair the skin.

I really wanted to make sure this was at the top of my skincare products for dry skin as this really is wonderful! It really does give you that dry skin relief we so need when we have a flare-up.

Trilogy Everything Balm

I repurchase the Trilogy Everything Balm all the time and have one in my office, handbag and bedroom for on the spot target treatment for dry skin.

This can be used all over the body and even the lip area for when your skin is in need of some nourishment.

When this came out, I purchased it as I was really into balms at that time. Since then, I have used it all the time and continue to do so!

A blend of natural ingredients such as rosehip, echinacea and pawpaw which soothes, reduces inflammation and instantly zaps the area with a boost of moisturising properties which helps soothe and calm the skin.

I’ve even used this on my youngest son when his eczema flares up as it works so well and is super gentle and really gives you the dry skin relief you need.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

I can’t tell you how many times I have included the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream in my skincare favourites or skincare routine posts because I use this dry skin saviour all the time!

Originally, I was sent this to try and since then it has been included as my everyday morning face cream and I will explain why and why it is really good for dry skin.

It’s a super lightweight moisturiser that doesn’t leave a film on the skin and absorbs rapidly. But leaves my skin feeling less tight, dry and gives a smoother base for my makeup or just to run off to do the school run.

Instantly I feel relief and as I use the cream more, my skin starts to become more nourished and moisturised.

As I am now wearing a face mask every day, this has been a really good barrier for stopping my face from breaking out in dryness.

Clinique Moisture Surge

I remember when the Clinique Moisture Surge was released and I got a sample when I purchased something else from Clinique. I tried it there and then as I was having such a terrible time with my dry skin. Instantly I fell in love and purchased it because of the instant dry skin relief.

Such a lightweight product and can be used under moisturiser, this sinks in almost immediately and makes my skin feel so much better.

The tight feeling goes instantly and the dry patches look nourished so you can’t see the dryness much on my skin.

After about a week of use, my skin mostly clears up. I only use this when my skin is super dry and save it for the moments it needs moisture!

I’d use it every day but I worry my skin would become accustomed to it and stop working, so saving it for the bad times seems to really work for me!

The gel makes it super light and glides on effortlessly, leaving skin nourished and less parched which is why I wanted to include in my skincare products for dry skin post.

Dr PawPaw Original Balm

I literally have loads of the Dr PawPaw Original Balm, either from beauty boxes or purchasing them. They are that good, I keep a stock of them for emergency use.

Both using on my face, dry spots of eczema or my lips. Also on my children as well when they have little flare-ups which is why this is worthy for skincare products for dry skin.

They have a little applicator so you can smooth on to the area easily, they are very much in the style of a lip balm so if you need something to target a specific area then this is what you need for that dry skin relief.

Wherever I apply it to, instantly that area feels so much better and nourished. After a week of applying to the area, it vanishes. So you can see why I have loads of these! I try to tackle the area before it spreads.

You can pop this in your handbag, drawers and keep it at work or in your desk.

Weleda Skin Food

This is my nighttime go-to moisturiser and Weleda Skin Food is one that I use only when my face is really bad. The reason for this is because it is quite a heavy moisturiser and as it works so wonderfully, I use this at night only when I need to.

It has a bit of a sticky feel to it at first but does absorb into the skin and leaves a film on the top which works throughout the night.

I’ve also used this on the target areas of eczema and it has made it go away.

When I talk about skincare, this is one of the top products that I continually purchase and use across my body for the dry areas to my face.

Weleda is another brand that I use a lot of products and I will be reviewing more over the coming months!

Trilogy Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm

I can’t have a dry skincare favourites without the Trilogy Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm which is my favourite ever cleansing balm!

Whenever I talk about cleansing, this is a product I use all the time.

Instantly my skin is soothed, calmed and less tight. Sometimes soap-based products can cause my skin to have a reaction so this is a go-to when my skin is really bad and some days it is all I can use.

Although it is really heavy, it sinks in as you massage it across your skin and once you wiped off, your skin is left nourished but without the product on you. There is no residue left on your skin.

The Rosehip and Mango really helps with soothing and nourishing the skin which is great for dry skin relief.

Avene Cleansing Milk (anti-redness and Gentle)

I got both the Avene Anti-Redness Cleansing Milk and The Avene Gentle Cleansing Milk a few years ago as something to try and reduce my redness but found it was so gentle and soothing to my skin that it really helped my dry skin.

Both of these are really good for when my skin is in a flare-up and they don’t irritate or sting my skin when using.

The anti-redness formula is great for the days when my skin is really red, whilst the gentle formula is perfect for the days where it is irritated and sore.

If my skin is really bad, I try to use a balm, but other than that, I go for the cleansing milk!

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil is a more water-like product but oh it packs a punch!

I’d purchased loads of products last year and this really caught my eye.

Although this is more so for ageing skin, it really helped my skin when it was super dry and with it being really lightweight, I used it under the Kiehl’s ultra facial cream.

Absorbs rapidly, leaves the skin soft, supple and even hs the added anti-ageing benefits thrown in.

This was a surprise for me as I had a small patch of dryness and after 3 days it had gone. So now I use it all the time!

I’ve tried loads of their products and really do enjoy them, so I am glad I get to include them in a dryness top 10!
