About Me

Hey babes, guess what I found out? Apparently, spending sixteen years screaming into the digital void actually turns into something pretty freaking amazing.

Welcome to my corner of the internet. If you were looking for one of those “life, laugh, love” bloggers who spends their morning doing yoga at sunrise and eating kale for breakfast, you have come to the right place to be disappointed. I started this blog way back in 2010 when life was, quite frankly, a bit shit. I needed somewhere to dump my thoughts before my head actually exploded, and what started as a desperate need for an outlet blossomed into the beautiful, obsessive chaos you see today.

The Anxiety Lie and the ADHD Truth

For the longest time, I walked around thinking there was something fundamentally broken in my brain. I spent my entire life being told I just had “anxiety” and that I needed to calm down or try harder. It turns out that was absolute bollocks. Being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult was the ultimate lightbulb moment. It was like finally finding the instruction manual for a machine I had been trying to run on vibes and panic for decades.

If you are an ADHD mum or just a woman who feels constantly overwhelmed and stressed, I am right there in the trenches with you. I know what it is like to be a mum who has simply had enough of the mental load. That is why I write. I want to share the things that actually help, not the stuffy advice from people who have never forgotten where they parked their car while they were still inside it. We are talking real life, real struggles, and a lot of “fuck this” moments that make us human.

My WFH Sanctuary of Chaos

Since I work from home, my office is my sanctuary, though if you walked in, you might think a botanical garden and a stationery shop had a very messy divorce. I have a full blown office packed with plants, tech gadgets that I probably don’t need but absolutely love, and crap everywhere. It is my creative nest. And the candles? Babes, I have a billion of them. If it doesn’t smell like a luxury spa or a freshly baked cake in here, I can’t function.

I am a massive tech nerd, a foodie who lives for an air fryer hack, and a sucker for anything that smells good. But more than that, I am a fan of the truth. There is so much wellness advice out there that is pure, unadulterated nonsense. Who actually wants to sit there and visualise a fucking tree, babes? Not me. I’d rather find a tool that stops me from losing my keys or a notebook that actually makes me feel like I have my life together for five minutes.

Why Testing Time Blog Exists

This blog is for the mums who are tired of pretending. It is for the women who are juggling work from home life while trying to remember if they actually fed themselves or just had three cups of cold coffee for lunch. I am here to test the stuff, review the books, and share the lifestyle tips that actually work for a spicy, neurodivergent brain. If it helps me, I am going to tell you about it. If it’s a pile of rubbish, I’ll tell you that too.

Connecting with you lot is what brings me the most joy. Life is too short to be serious all the time, and it is definitely too short to feel ashamed of how your brain works. We are in this together, navigating the mess, buying too many pens, and trying to find the funny side of the absolute circus that is modern womanhood. So, stick around, have a look at my latest obsession, and let’s make life a bit more interesting without the “zen” bullshit.

Love you, mean it! xo
