Choosing The Right Scooter

I have lads from the age of 3 to 12 and choosing the right scooter is essential.

I used to skate when I was younger, so the idea of a scooter was new to me.
Scooters were never a huge thing, I mean it was skating, biking or skateboarding when I was younger.

Who knew you could pull stunts on a scooter? Well, I had no idea! Of course, depending on the age depends on what you need.

So here is some clever tips on finding the right scooter.

Novice Or Pro Scooter

Is your little nipper a total novice, or your mini giant a pro? Have you been considering which stunt scooter is right for you?

Choosing the right scooter is about looking for the right scooter that is for a little person that needs to learn and needs support, or a total pro scooter for tricks and stunts.

A 3 wheeled scooter is great for learning, it has the support, think of it like stabilisers on a bike.
Eventually working up to a 2 wheel scooter.

Once at a 2 wheel scooter, a bulkier, plastic one that is light would be best. One that is easy to hold and use.
I know my toddler wants a Paw Patrol one, so we will work up to it eventually.

However, my more pro kids want ones that can do tricks and stunts.
I look for more higher priced, branded ones that have the ability to change the wheels. Which my kids like doing often.

Like a pair of blades, you can get scooters you can accessorise to be more ‘pro’ or just stylish.

Or just build one from scratch, a fab place to get the parts from is Skate Hut that sells Apex Scooters that are completely buildable from the handles right down to the wheels.

Your kids can have a totally custom scooter. Could that be any cooler?

Have you got kids that are into the scooting craze?
