The British Snack Co Review

We’re a family that love a good snack and we are trying to be more healthy so when I got the chance to do a British Snack Co Review, obviously I had to say yes!

With a family of 5 of us, of course we are a snack laden house. I am the only female, so you can guess that food goes down well, especially snacks!

They offer some wonderful crisps under ‘The British Crisp Co’ and popcorn under ‘The British Popcorn Co’.

A cute, quirky brand with some mind-blowing flavours!

I will be reviewing each one separately, but trust me, they are delicious and highly recommend them to anyone who loves a good, low cal snack!

About The British Snack Co

A truly British brand with some British flavours, they have claimed a Great Taste Award which is fantastic!

Now they are vegan which suits me as I am vegetarian but avoid dairy etc as much as possible.

Also to add, they are gluten free!

The British Snack Co Review

The packaging is the same for both the popcorn and the crisps.

Packaging I really like, they feel expensive and thick packaging so you know you got a good deal here.

They’re very noisy, giving you that loud crinkle sound as you open it and take out these golden crisps of wonder.

Sealed and keeping them fresh, you know you are getting a good deal with these!

They have really British pictures on the front of the packaging, such as a lighthouse and a boat, to a Cat wearing union jack clothing!

Funky, fresh, fun and certainly eye-catching, these crisps and popcorn are as fun and tasty as they look.

Firstly they have a wonderful range of flavours: Sea Salt; Cheese and Onion; Sweet Chilli; Sea Salt and Black Pepper; Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar.

I received all 4 flavours and trust me when I say this, they are delicious!

I’ve never seen black pepper crisps before and as a black pepper connoisseur, these were, of course, my favourite!

Now, the crisps themselves are heaven. Literal heaven!

Proper crisps, you can tell these were truly cut from a good potato and they are tasty, delicious and authentic. Just like real crisps (Let’s face it, some brands clearly aren’t proper crisps)

They are crispy, thick and full of flavour!

My favourite flavour, of course, is Black Pepper, but the rest are just as tasty.

The black pepper crisps are amazing dipped in sour cream and onion dip. I ate them all like this!

Next is the Sea Salt and Cider vinegar – with a tang of the cider vinegar and the beautiful saltiness from the sea salt, combined they give you such a mind blown flavour combo!

Then we have the Sweet Chili which are not that sweet, but they are super tasty! They are smoky, have a little kick and so full of flavour!

Then we have Cheese and Onion and they taste more like a good cheddar with caramelised onion. Truly divine!

Finally, there is Sea Salt which are so lightly brushed with sea salt. However, the crisp gives it such a strong flavour that is light, airy and tasty!

The lads loved them, they were the perfect size to share between 2 of them, or for my partners lunch!

The British Popcorn Co

Proper tasty and soft popcorn in the flavours: Caramel & Espresso; Sea Salt; Sour Cream & Black Pepper and Sweet & Salty

They are really tasty and there was a distinct lack of bits in the popcorn which I appreciated as we all get it stick in our throat somewhere.

Soft, fluffy and the flavours are really nice!

My favourite was Caramel & espresso and Sour cream & black pepper.

Caramel and espresso have such a smoky but rich flavour from both the espresso and the caramel, making a wonderful combo for a snack in popcorn form.

Then we have Sour cream and black pepper which is so tasty, I wish I could get the flavouring alone and eat it on everything! Tangy from the sour cream with that jazz of black pepper giving it a really different flavour.

The sweet and salty reminds me so much of cinema popcorn, even the scent!

Finally, the sea salt is lightly salted and very tasty so you get that delicious authentic taste.

The kids loves the salt and sweet and salty popcorn so I kept the best (in my eyes) to myself. The caramel and espresso and sour cream and black pepper are more adult oriented flavours. Which did me just fine!

63 calories per serving, it’s a hit with my diet!

Final Thoughts

I’d love to see if there is more flavours later down the line as so far, they really hit the nail on the head with classic flavours for the crisps and some beautiful flavours for the popcorn.

I see them coming out with some really tasty snacks for us to eat!
