No Time To Relax? Check Out My 10 Minute Relaxation Ideas

We all become so busy that we find we have no time to relax and this got me thinking about the ways I relax when my time is limited. We’ve all been there, work, family, commitments leave us no times for ourselves but there are many ways you can have 10-minute relaxation rituals to give you a moment of peace.

We use the ‘no time to relax’ excuse far too much and we need to start thinking about taking 10 minutes of our day, every day to relax, recharge and lose ourselves for a moment.

You don’t even have to spend a penny and use things you have around the home or even just buying a small crystal to have near you when you are thinking about relaxing.

I find I have to give myself 10 minutes a day to take my mind away from things going on around me, it has really helped me manage my anxiety.

So, here we are! Some wonderful ideas to get you relaxing more!

Skincare routine

My top way to relax is by having a skincare routine. I always find time for this especially when I have no time to relax.

Cleansing, toning and moisturising will give me 10 minutes of peace to sit, be calm and enjoy the massaging techniques across my face.

You can pop on a quick 10-minute face mask and have a read of your book whilst it works on your skin.

Maybe using a facial massager tool to massage the products into the skin or look up how to give yourself a face massage and relax, enjoy the quiet time and doing something calming.

Herbal Supplements and Teas

There is nothing I enjoy more than a good cup of tea and it always has to be of the herbal variety. Whether it is linden blossom and lavender to calm me or ginger and tulsi to make me feel invigorated.

Herbal supplements are taking the internet by storm and many are now endorsing the natural options available to us. Shop reputable brands like mmj express if you want to purchase something to help you be calm and relaxed.

Meditation

I enjoy looking for quick 10-minute meditation rituals and just allow myself a small amount of time to relax, enjoying aromatherapy at the same time. Whether I light some incense or pop in a few essential oils into my diffuser.

My breaks are mostly used to take 10 minutes to relax and let the stress of the day vanish and clear my mind.

You can try a guided meditation where you drift into your subconscious or you can just meditate to some music or sounds and let your mind be quiet.

If I am having a particularly stressful time at work, this is the best way for me to reduce my stress, lower my heart rate and just let the problems melt away from a terrible day.

Yoga/Stretching

If you sit at your desk for long periods of time, a great way to relax is by either doing a quick 10-minute yoga routine or doing stretches at your desk and allow yourself to loosen up, stretch out your body.

This really helps when you have sat down all day and feeling stiff and aching. It reduces tension in your body and allows you a moment to clear your mind at the same time.

Plus, stretching and yoga is really good for your body and will help your circulation, reducing stress and allowing you to take a moment away from screens and work.

I was one who thought there were no benefits of yoga, but yoga had changed my life.

Listen to music

Put on your favourite songs or something you fancy listening to, have a good sing and dance and enjoy yourself! If you are at work, just take a 10-minute break, pop on your headphones and enjoy something that you like.

It’s uplifting listening to something you enjoy and you can have a little jiggle at the same time. Plus, if you have no time to relax, it’s a great way to whisk yourself away from the now and enjoy the music.

Music is great for stress relief and if you have a dance, you are getting a little exercise at the same time! 2 birds with one stone and all that…

Aromatherapy

I put my diffuser on for 10 minutes when I am highly stressed, breathe in deeply and enjoy the scent swirling around me. Whether it is uplifting, relaxing or calming, it’s great to just chill out for 10 minutes and let my mind escape from what is happening around me.

Usually, I combine this with yoga or meditation, sometimes I just do deep breathing exercises and lie down, letting my body melt into the floor.

You can use essential oils, incense or even candles and wax tarts, just something that smells good and helps you relax.

Aromatherapy can help with many complaints such as stress, lack of focus and much more! Why not look into it?

Take 10 Minutes Away

Just walk away from your desk, or situation or find a secluded place where you can sit for 10 minutes and let yourself be at peace.

Just taking 10 minutes away is a good way to think about something, forget something, calm down and relax.

Even if you go sit outside with nature, or lock yourself in your bedroom – perhaps spending time exploring adult entertainment platforms like tubev to relax and momentarily escape –  it gives you time to lower your blood pressure and heart rate, be at peace and just allow yourself to slow down away from things going on around you.

Have A Brisk Walk

Just having a brisk walk will get your endorphins surging, give you a moment to think about other things and take yourself away from reality.

I know when I am feeling particularly stressed, a walk is a great way to clear my mind and take in some deep breaths of fresh air.

Even going for a quick jog is you can help you immensely, however, I prefer a quick walk.

You don’t have to go far, just 10 minutes will be enough for you to calm your mind, distract yourself and allow the fresh air to circulate to your lungs.

Final Thoughts

Think of things you enjoy that you can do in 10 minutes and enjoy every minute that you can get to relax.

You don’t need 4 hours to relax, just small amounts of time to take yourself away from work, family and life. Calm your mind, get some fresh air or just do something you really enjoy.

Just enjoy yourself more, bring your stress levels down and stop using the ‘no time to relax’ excuse!
