Neals Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Body Butter/Balm

I’ve been a fan of Neals Yard Remedies for a very long time as I love the apothecary-style packaging in blue glass/plastic so there was obviously going to be a review of the Geranium & Orange Body Butter/Balm (Was called Butter, now called Balm).

It’s a brand that I truly enjoy because of them being natural. But also that they use essential oils and products that are holistic in nature.

The first thing I’d ever nought was the Aromatic collection and this started me on a journey of loving this brand and becoming a staple.

Of course, this is a review of the Neals Yard Geranium & Orange Body Butter which I think is amazing!

About the product and packaging

This is full of the good stuff, shea nut butter and olive and pumpkin seed oils. Then of course orange and geranium essential oils which give it a beautiful scent!

It’s said to restore the vibrancy of the skin whilst tackling the dryness and moisturising the skin.

Packaging we have a beautiful glass pot which the blue hue keeps the product safe from sunlight.

It’s important that products made of natural materials is always protected in a glass bottle with a hue of blue or brown.

Very thick glass so it’s well protected and less prone to breakage.Blue glass pot with lavender coloured label for the Geranium & Orange Body Butter

Review

A thick balm at first that melts as soon as it is warmed up, so make sure you keep this somewhere cool.

It feels a little gritty also, but then as it melts, it becomes like an oil that massages into the skin.

You only need a small amount of the Geranium & Orange Body Butter/Balm as it melts into an oil, it spreads really far. You don’t want to use too much and have greasy skin. This is typical of all balm/oil products.

Absorption is really fast which I am shocked given it is a balm type product. It can take a while for them to melt into the skin. However this was quicker than other products I had tried.

After first use, there was a noticeable difference and my skin was not looking so scaly. It has also zapped those dry spots.

But then after a week of use, the dryness was permanently gone. My skin was looking more healthy and less dull and dry.

With continual use, I could go a week without using it and my skin remained nourished and moisturised. So it does really work!

I love me a good beauty butter!

Final thoughts

Out of all the balms I have tried, this is by far my favourite and will continue to use this as the years plod on.

Neal’s Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Body Butter/Balm is perfect for anyone that has dry skin and needs refreshing and nourishing!

It’s such a beautiful fragrance, the fresh zesty orange and the calm and soothing geranium make a wonderful couple. Which is fresh for the morning, but also calming for the evening.

I couple this with a lovely body scrub which keeps my skin soft, smooth and dryness free!

*I wanted to add that in 2020 – I noticed they had changed the name to body balm, rather than body butter.

*I purchased this myself and the review is of my own wording
