I love trying new products especially natural and products that are not full of harmful chemicals. So trying the Melvita Soothing Eye Makeup Remover was right up my street.

Melvita Soothing Eye Makeup Remover is ultra-gentle and non-greasy, whilst being effective enough to even remove all traces of water-resistant mascara. This soothing formulation contains moisturising actives of Cornflower Water, Chamomile and Lotus to help reduce swelling around the eye contour, and softening Olive Squalane to gently cleanse make-up from the eyelashes. Organic Aloe Vera is included to provide potent hydration, protecting this fragile area.

I looked for natural products that would fit perfectly with my lifestyle but also take good care of my skin.

Firstly, I have never used a cleanser for eyes only, something I had previously considered as I have had issues with cleansers irritating my eyes and making them a little red.

The Review!

I opened the box and was a little confused about why the product had separated. As I read the box, you had to shake to mix two parts together.

The Melvita Soothing Eye Makeup Remover slightly clouded when shaken up.

Opening the lid of the Melvita Soothing Eye Makeup Remover was easy. It has a white lid that clicks into place. An easy to twist open and the bottle has a tiny hole so when you tilted the bottle, little spurts of the liquid came out.

The texture of the eye make-up remover was watery and slightly oily. I did first think it might be a little greasy afterwards.

Applying Melvita Soothing Eye Makeup Remover to cotton wool was really easy, the light formula soaked into the cotton wool pad and was easy enough to glide over the skin. Firstly taking off all of the make up then slowly working on the eyelashes in circles, massaging off all of the mascara.

This product was so gentle on the skin, my eyes did not look red, irritated or sore.
It worked on all stubborn make up including waterproof mascara.

The test!

I did a hand test on certain make up, I used waterproof mascara, every day mascara, kohl eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, eye pencil and black glittery eyeshadow.

I applied some of the product to a cotton wool pad and wiped it down the centre of the lines, leaving quite a clear trail behind.

As you can see there is quite a clear trail where the product came off easily enough, I was quite shocked myself. I expected the waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner to remain at the least.

Then I gave the right side a wipe over in circular motions and my hand came clear, leaving the left side.

For such a gentle make-up remover I am highly impressed with how easily make-up came off my skin.

The product did not leave anything behind, there was no greasy texture on my skin. Also my eyes actually looked brighter.

With regular use, the skin around my eyes started looking more healthier, the dryness had totally gone. But also strangely enough, the dark circles had faded some-what.

I was highly shocked with the use of this product, the ease of getting make-up off. Also how soft and gentle it was on my skin and how my eyes looked afterwards.

This is great to protect your eyesight too as you are not using harsh chemicals around your eye area. Whilst it does also give an anti-redness effect on your eyes.

There is nothing bad about this product, worth every penny for beautiful, cared for eyes.
