Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy Review & Swatch

Most anticipated lip colour for me was the Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy collaboration that I was itching to get my hands on.

I purchased the set with the Eclipse highlighter and had to do a separate review of Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy as it is one of my favourite colours so far.

Slightly deeper than Celebrity Skin – this is a cool toned medium brown that looks insane on and I can wear with many different looks.

I have started growing my collection now and it is getting bigger with tones that I am enjoying. Now of course – I have just not got to the crazy colours yet. Guys, give me some balls!

A few differences in packaging which is noted below and you will see why it is a favourite of mine.

Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy Packaging

Distinctly different to the previous packing but at the same time it is strikingly similar.

Cardboard packaging is crazy – like seriously I have never seen anything so cool as this.

There is some triangular shimmer reflective style that you can see when it hits the light.
There is also a new Logo which is Jeffree Star’s logo with a ring around, similar to Manny’s design.

Of course – it could be no other colour than black. I prefer the black packaging in all honesty.

With the actual product it is the exact same clear part of acrylic at the top then black, with the logo this time in holographic silver.
Entire line of this collaboration is the same black and holographic material.

Below the lid is a black strip with holographic starts and again the same clear acrylic with Jeffree Star in of course – holographic.

Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy Wand, Application and Formula

Wand remains unchanged – there was no difference which I like. A nice, soft big applicator that is moulded so it fits the curve of my lips and gives a nice precision application.

Again this has a strange scent and dissipates after a couple of seconds once completely dry. It’s a little chemical like but some scent behind it. It’s not horrible but strange.

So with the consistency it’s medium and only one application is needed.

When completely dry – the shade does darken a little but it does look amazing on.

It’s very easy to apply – you can either use the doe foot application and a brush for the edges if you want precision.

I really like the formula of this product and can see me wearing this shade a lot more than I first imagined.

I liked that there was no patchiness with this shade on application and dried down perfect. What I also like is there is absolutely no transfer and it dries down completely matte.

There is no heaviness with this and feels wonderful on the lips. Just to add – there is a slight stickiness when drying down but once completely dry there was none at all.

Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy Put To The Test

Admittedly I had to put this to the wear test and try drinking (both hot and cold) as well as eating greasy and non greasy foods.

Firstly drinks. There was absolutely no transfer on glasses and cups. This did not come off whilst drinking at all.

Secondly I tried with a range of foods, of course greasy/oily foods did bring this off which I expected. Otherwise there was no transfer and did not come off once.

Throughout the day this did wear off in the middle of my lips and could apply a layer on top which did not look patchy and did not feel heavier on the lips.

Now to successfully take this product off I do recommend an oil based cleanser as this will come straight off with no staining.

Jeffree Star X Manny MUA Daddy Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed using and wearing this particular shade. It suits most styles I go for on my eyes, especially brown and gold shades.

Lasts really well, no flaking or patchiness and looks amazing on.

I can wear this with any style I am rocking as it’s such a versatile shade. Even a very dark eye and this looks fabulous!

I really loved this collaboration and also reviewed I’m Shook too!

What do you think of this shade?
