Hidden Cameras? Is It True?

Just recently I have seen more and more articles popping up online and in the media about hidden cameras. I was curious if this was scaremongering or real so decided to take a more in-depth look into it all.

There is both good and bad points for having hidden cameras so be mindful that whilst this goes into mostly the negative outlook, there is also many positive outlooks.

Such as catching robbers, elderly or children being abused by others and even things like catching accidents on camera in vehicles.

However, recently there has been more and more coverage about the negative side of hidden cameras and will discuss a little further on this.

Hidden Cameras? Is It True?

Absolutely, there are hidden cameras for many reasons. However due to laws and where you live, they may change based on what your country/state laws are.

For example, overall, hidden cameras in public changing areas, changing rooms and toilet facilities are mostly against the law.

I noticed there is also websites dedicated to watching hidden cameras and some of them are not for the faint hearted. Now I will recommend not to go actively looking for them.

Just do a quick google about hidden cameras and you will see many stories of prosecutions and hidden cameras being found.

Hidden Cameras? How to spot them

Spotting them may be harder, but I have seen most were found when seeing a reflection from the camera lens.

The first thing I would suggest is look for something misplaced, a box or a random fixture to the wall.

Check anything for a reflection if it looks out of place, you can see by looking closely if there is something inside.

If you do notice something out of the ordinary, report it to the place you are currently in, possibly the police depending where you are.

Vents are generally key places where they are installed, take your phone and use the flash light to see if you can spot anything in there.

In all honesty, I would recommend to be more attentive when using an area of the public, especially toilets and changing areas.

Cover yourself up as much as possible with a towel or article of clothing.
