Ways To Make Income With Blogging

I have been blogging for many years and I found I could make a small income with blogging.

In fact, most people who own a blog can turn it into making a small income and there is many ways you can do this.

Of course, you can’t just start a blog and receive an income, but you can certainly get started now and make an income after some time.

There are many Facebook groups, Twitter discussions, YouTube videos and websites that have a wide variety of helpful advice

You can find dedicated groups on Facebook to find like minded people, or even people more/less established but offering help and support.

Use these places and soak up as much information as possible.

Learn about blogging, writing, marketing, social media. Take advantage of the free things out there and keep building your knowledge as you progress.

There is so much out there about paid blogging and you can always look at specific websites and YouTube channels dedicated to monetising.

Never be scared to ask a question. There are many people offering advice and may have some fantastic insight to give you a great head start.

Making An Income With Blogging

Sponsored Posts

The first option is through sponsored posts. This is the most popular option and the quickest way to see the cash come through.

Sponsored posts are in short, a link back to a specific website which will help traffic and DA.

I would recommend to check the laws where you are surrounding sponsored posts, ads and various other means of marketing as it can vary widely.

One website I have come across is Get Blogged and you can sign up and find sponsored posts that will fit with your DA, even as low as 10!

Affiliates

Another way you can make money is through Affiliates. This is adding links to posts whereby a consumer will click through and then purchase. Some pop a cookie on their computer that lasts an x amount of days, so if they shop later on, you may gain that affiliation money.

Amazon have a great affiliate scheme, as well as AWIN which is quite popular.

Don’t forget to disclose that you have included affiliate links within your posts too!

Ads

You may visit a site and see banners around showing off the latest deal with Nike, or flowers from a company in your area. These are ads.

Ads are another way of gaining money through clicks, most people tend to use Google’s own AdSense network, but there are others out there too.

So basically you are paid per click to the website shown on your banner or icon, depending how you decide to place your ads.

Reviews

Not quite an option to monetise, but reviewing items is a good way to get things you wouldn’t usually purhase or may be a bit on the expensie side!

I love reviewing items I wouldn’t usually and can have a lot of fun doing so!

Warning!

I wanted to warn you that if you do start earning money through blogging, you must ensure you are signed up under your government as receiving income (Such as registering as self employed in the UK) and make sure that you follow their guidelines around self employment, especially if you are employed.

Also another thing to note is check your countries/states legislation regarding advertising as it does differ depending on where you are. Disclaimers are a must and you must ensure you do them as required.

You can still have fun with making money from your blog, just as I do. But more so casual.
