Tangle Teezer – Review
I am new to the whole Tangle Teezer escapade. I know, you can slap me now.
I generally use whatever hair brush I reach for.
Looking after my hair is never at the forefront of my mind, but something I am working on in 2017 as my hair needs an awful lot of love.
The type of girl that gets a hair cut every 1-2 years and buys whatever shampoo and conditioner is on offer. I do use hair treatments, masks and oils. But not as much as I should.
I am really surprised I have any hair left, or smooth hair at that!
So I was sent 2 different Tangle Teezer brushes to try. An original Tangle Teezer in Plum Delicious and a full sized, Smoothing Blow Drying Hair Brush.
I will review them both separately.
Tangle Teezer The Original
Purple and pink are colours I really like, so it was obvious I would choose such a brightly coloured item.
Comes in a clear plastic casing which was easy to open, but I did bin it as I don’t tend to keep packaging.
The purple is a lovely dark shade of purple and the brush side is bright pink.
It has a shape to it which makes the brush very easy to hold.
Now I have very knotty and ratty hair, I hate brushing my hair because it is so damn painful.
The bristles are quite soft so they don’t scratch my scalp. I do have a sensitive scalp so I am glad they are so soft on there.
The best part about this brush, I can go from root to tip with no pulling, the knots just disappear!
It also collects any hair fall out really well, without having hair all over me.
Also easy to clean and take out the hair after use.
I noticed my hair is breaking a lot less since using this brush daily.
Also noticed how my hair looks smoother after brushing and all the knots come out.
My hair certainly feels a lot softer and smoother since using this, it also stops my hair getting static like.
There is a huge difference with my hair since using it and I simply LOVE IT! Just need more colours obviously…
Smoothing Blow Dry Brush
Coming in a clear package again, this was binned as I don’t keep them.
The brush I received is white with the black brush part. Very simple and easy to use.
Now this brush is rather large, I think I would have been suited to the smaller size as I have very fine hair. However, if you have thick hair, you so need this!
Even with fine hair, this will work, but for me, preferentially the smaller one for me.
The bristles are hard, so have to be gentle around the scalp. I generally dry my roots first then use a brush for the ends, which I did for this.
Not once did my hair get tangled and glided through my hair with ease.
I found this brush did smooth my hair really well, creating straight hair that did not need anything additionally.
This brush is amazing for having no static which is something I get badly usually with brushes. Well admittedly, they are cheap so you know…
I really do like this brush, with how well it makes my hair super smooth and great for knotty hair.
Final Thoughts
I have less breakage since using both these brushes, my hair is certainly smoother, softer and no tangles.
I don’t even have a sore scalp from brushing my hair which is a massive bonus.
I like the easiness of the original as I pop this in my handbag, take it with me and have this on my desk when working.
It goes everywhere with me.
The difference in my hair is phenomenal.
Have you tried a Tangle Teezer yet?
