Classic Jewellery Pieces You Need To Own By The Time You’re 30
When we think of classic jewellery, there are some Hollywood icons that always spring to mind. For instance, Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, or Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Classic jewellery pieces are so elegant and stylish, but there are various reasons why you need to own some. For instance, the pieces are so timeless, that they will never go out of fashion. Also, rather than decorative items, you should see them as investment pieces, as they rarely lose their value. But the big question is this: which classic jewellery pieces do you need in your jewellery box? Well, here are some pieces that I think everyone needs to own before turning thirty!
A Gold Chain
A single strand of gold around your neck can look very chic indeed. What’s more, it can be worn with a variety of different outfits. You could add it to your work outfit for a very stylish day at the office. But a gold chain will also work wonders on a night out and can really enhance a little black dress. If you want something that makes more of a statement, you could always look for a chain that is decorated with gold stars or is embedded with small diamonds. Make sure you don’t wear any sunscreen or other makeup items on the skin under the chain, as the oils from these and your skin could cause it to discolour.
Pearls
Pearls were big back in the forties and fifties but slowly dipped in popularity slightly throughout the eighties and nineties. However, now they are back and very much here to stay! There are various ways to wear your pearls, for example as a classic pearl necklace. Lots of jewellers now also create their own collection of pearl earrings which showcase the various different colours and styles of these beautiful stones.
A Statement Watch
Let’s not forget that watches also count as jewellery too! And there are many styles of watch with which you can show off your personal sense of style. Opt for a simple silver one if you want to add an elegant hint of glamour to your wardrobe. If you fancy a bit more bling, you can always go for one that is encrusted with jewels and precious stones. There is another option that many women choose if they don’t particularly want a metallic watch – you can always go for one with a comfortable leather strap instead!
A Charm Bracelet
Charm bracelets are such a fantastic idea. It’s just a simple silver or gold bracelet onto which you can add different cute charms! Once you have this type of bracelets, your friends and relatives can buy you the individual charms as Christmas and birthday presents! There are hundred of different charms you could buy; why not try and find one that holds a personal significance to you?
As you can see, there is such a wide variety of classic jewellery. But the four pieces that I mention above are hands down the best ones to own!
