A little about my skin firstly.

I have dry, spot prone skin that looks hideous (Thank goodness for foundation and concealer)
I have been trying many products but never used a 3 step system before so this is brand new to me.

You can see from my pictures that my skin is uneven, spotty and dry.

I have red patches and my skin looks dull, tired and lethargic. I have really bad dry skin and always looking for products to help with it.

My skin is starting to lose firmness and as you can see, I look tired around the eyes,

There is no sparkle or radiance to my skin, I am close to zombie I would say.

I am not sure what to expect from this skincare regime but we shall see.

I have stopped using my everyday lotions and potions and swapped everything for this 3 step system.

I will update every 2 weeks and let you know how I am getting on with pictures included.

Let’s get on to the products and their formula.

Proactiv+ Skin Smoothing Exfoliator

I expected a foaming cleanser but this is far from that.

It is a silky texture with very gentle beads inside, when massaging on my skin, there is no dragging, scratching or roughness. Because the main ingredient is glycolic acid, this creates a barrier between your skin and the beads so it does not scratch your skin, smoothing away with ease.

This formula is good for smoothing, plumping and unclogging the pores, as well as leaving a smooth base ready for the treatments.

There is no real scent to the product, just smells of glycolic acid really.

My skin does not feel tight after use either, the texture og my skin is smooth and there is no dry patches. It really does well on dry skin.

It also helped with redness, after using my skin appeared less red especially where the spots were.

Proactiv+ Skin Purifying Mask

I love face masks, I did like this mask too.

It is a white clay-based mask with small blue beads in.

The smell is well, not what I expected. Smells clay-like when applying then starts to smell like lit matches. Not that I mind but it is a strong, lingering smell. Well one of the ingredients is sulphur so there you go.

This mask is easy to apply and does not feel tight when it has dried on my face.

When rinsing off, it exfoliates really well and noticed the dead skin was coming off my face after I rinsed off, so had to use the skin smoothing exfoliator to get rid of this dead skin.

After one use, my skin was so smooth, polished and felt like my pores were unclogged. Noticed a few blackheads had gone.

This is a really thorough cleaning mask however the smell is a little… strong. When thinking about skincare tips, one of my tips is always to use a face mask.

Proactiv+ Pore Target Treatment

I do suffer from enlarged pores and they can show through my make up sometimes. I tried primers which unfortunately are of little use to me.

I will say, please only use a small blob of this as it can create a roll off effect when using the moisturiser on top. Seriously, a little goes a long way!

This is a ultra silky forumula that glides over the skin with no effort.

The consistency is quite runny but as I said, just a little goes a long way.

It does make my skin feel tight but it is not uncomfortable though.

It absorbs quite rapidly and leaves no residue behind, a big must for me.

After a week I noticed my pores were slowly shrinking, but can not comment on this until I see the effects after a few more weeks.

There is no apparent scent, again just smells clean and I guess like glycolic acid.

Proactiv+ Complexion Perfecting Hydrator

Now this moisturiser really surprised me. I was expecting a thin moisturiser or maybe a really heavy one. But this was not what I expected.

This moisturiser is really thick but melts a little when warming between my fingers.

Massages well into the skin and gives an instant mattifying effect however even though this is really mattifying, it is also super moisturising and nourishing.

Again only use the smallest amount as a little goes a long way, a small blog was enough to cover my face and neck.

Again, same scent as the rest, hard to explain as there is no scent I suppose, just smells earthy and fresh.

Straight away my target areas for dryness were super nourished, there is absolutely no dry patches on my face at all.

I applied makeup over and this moisturiser created a fantastic barrier and as my face was so smooth, there was no need for a primer under.

No dry patches appeared, I had no breakouts after using make up which happens every time.

No redness after and my skin looks da bomb.

I can’t wait to see the results after a few weeks. This is exciting.

I will keep updating with blog posts and on social media, so keep an eye on this and in 8 weeks I will post a before and after shot, let’s see if there is a difference.
