Our Weekly Movie Night – A long Tradition

Every week we have a movie night, we get snacks, sometimes a takeaway and all curl up on the sofa watching a film.

Each week the children take turns choosing a film of their choice. Something that is suitable for all of us.

This week we had chosen ‘Minions’ which we had seen advertised but we could not get to the cinema to watch this.

Thankfully this had come out recently on DVD so we could get comfy and enjoy the evening.

We also chose a lot of snacks, having a Degustabox helped as we were able to choose the things we liked out of it and then enjoy it together! There are so many ways to have fun together and enjoying snacks is a weekly thing we do.

Movie night has been a ritual in my family for as long as I can remember.

As I child we would have Movie Nights at my Grandparents with my Mum once a month, have a takeaway and watch the latest film come out on video (I know, video’s right?)

I like how this has been passed down the generations, even when my Mum was a child they would regularly have ‘Movie Nights’ and the whole family would come round.

We have many past times passed along the family, like Christmas Eve, we always get new PJ’s, a movie and takeaway and slob on the sofa all evening enjoying each others company.

When I found out that Gracewell of Edgbaston has regular movie nights, I was thrilled.

There is nothing more comforting than things that make you feel like you are at home.

The comfort, the fun and the thrills of watching a film with people you know is nothing more comforting.

What is even better, family and friends are welcome to come to these events which makes that comfort feeling much more home-like.

Isn’t that fantastic? I would want to know I am well looked after and my family have the opportunity to join in and make many more happy and comforting memories.

Oh and my favourite all-time thing, beauty and hairdresser events, well that is right up my street. I will still want to be looking as gorgeous as ever in my prime.

I love my home comforts, I never want to part from them and Gracewell does just that!

Our Weekly Movie Night – A long Tradition

Is there traditions you have as a family? Are they coming from your childhood and beyond or are they new things that you have started?

Do you wish these little things you do as a family get passed down in the long run? I hope our movie night ideas will get passed down and my children will do it with their children. It’s nice to see traditions passed down through the family over the years.

It’s like jewellery, you have jewellery you pass down, so why not pass down your traditions too?

What home comforts would you love to keep and cherish?
