2) Bathe Quickly


Don’t stay in the shower or the bath for longer than you have to. A five-minute shower will get your skin hydrated; staying in for more than 10 minutes will have the reverse effect.


3) Bathe Coolly


As comfortable as they might be, hot baths and showers are bad for your skin. They strip away natural oils that you need to protect your skin. Keep the temperature in your comfort range and resist the temptation to make it scalding hot.


4) Moisturize


The ideal time to moisturize is just after you’ve bathed. If you know your skin is dry or sensitive, try a cream with a thicker formulation. Good ingredients to look out for include glycerin, mineral oil, dimethicone, or hyaluronic acid. These all help seal moisture into your skin. For your face, use a product specifically formulated for your skin type – oily, dry, or combination.


5) Avoid Cosmetic Ingredients
