Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask Review

Winter is here and my poor, dry skin is really suffering. I’ve got my favourites but I do like to spend some time trying new products and seeing how I get on. So I tried the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask. Having a hemp face mask was high on my list. But the question is, how did I get on?

I’m going to talk more about the brand Dr Botanicals and the product in detail, as well as offering my review of the hemp face mask.

About the brand and the hemp face mask

Dr Botanicals are the ‘Clean beauty people’ that want to offer affordable products that cover a range of skin concerns and give you the best products money can buy.

They are natural products that also offer a superfood effect on the skin too.

A minority-owned business, they are proud to be an LGBT brand and this is another reason why I buy a lot of skincare from them. With also a great philosophy that includes vegan skincare. Absolutely no animal testing. A brand you can get on board with.

So the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask is a hemp face mask with hemp seed oil and pomegranate enzymes which nourishes and reduces ageing of the skin. Pumping the skin full of good fatty acids, vitamins A, D and E and the pomegranate enzymes offer a gentle exfoliation too.

An all-rounder good face mask suitable for all skin types, especially ageing and dry skin.

Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask Packaging

I adore the packaging, especially if it comes in glass jars which the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask comes in.

The outer packaging is cardboard which can be recycled and although larger than the glass jar, it is created to keep the product safe during transit and beyond with a flap to keep it safe.

There is a black plastic lid on the jar which I will admit, I prefer as metal ones do rust over time. As I reuse my jars, I am happy with the lid.

Then we have a brown glass jar and it’s really thick so less prone to breaking. It’s a really good quality packaging and I love that I can reuse it.

As I make my own things and store a lot of herbs and spices, the jars always come in handy for my blends or storing some herbs.

Review of the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask

I’ve been actively using the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask now for a good few months and feel it is time to really give a thorough review.

When I started using the mask, my skin was combination normal/dry, with patches of dry on my cheeks.

Very faint lines appearing on my skin and my skin was in need of exfoliation.

Opening the jar, the scent isn’t what I expected, it has a very slight pomegranate scent to it, but mostly smells of a light hemp scent.

The hemp mask colour is a light caramel brown shade. I kind of expected it to be similar to the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Natural Nutrition Moisturiser as this is green.

It’s a medium consistency so easy to apply but not too heavy on the skin that it could clog your pores.

Once applied, it tightened my skin a little but did not feel uncomfortable at all. It was a nice, pleasant feeling!

I left it on for around 20 minutes and then wiped off with a hot cloth.

When I wiped off, the tightness was gone and my skin instantly felt more hydrated and zapped a few dry areas.

Once rinsed and clean, I patted dry and left for 10 minutes to see how my skin was after use. It felt really smooth and some of the less bad areas of dryness had gone. The other areas are tougher to manage with one use of anything.

I was surprised how my skin was feeling, the exfoliation from the pomegranate enzymes had worked, especially on the areas where I had dead skin like around my nose. It was smoother after use without the tingling from other enzyme type masks I have used.

Overall, my first use was pleasant and I really liked this hemp face mask.

After a few weeks of use

I continued to use the mask 2-3 times per week to start off with and the more I used the mask, the more smooth my skin would be.

From evening out my skin tone to reducing the dryness and redness of my skin. I have areas that can look redder and with continual use of the Hemp products, my skin was looking a lot better overall.

This is certainly a hemp face mask that I am going to continue using once a week in my skincare routine as the entire hemp range is magnificent and I have enjoyed trying them all.

My skin is more nourished, moisturised and the dry spots had gone after consistent use. Also, my skin tone has more even, less red and I was having fewer breakouts.

Now for the fine lines, these had plumped out and were less noticeable. This was important for me right now as I have started showing very small signals of ageing and would like to naturally keep it at bay rather than having to go to extremes.

I was overly impressed and do recommend the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask.

Final Thoughts

As I use more of the Dr Botanicals products, I find I am loving the brand even more. I tend to stock up when they have amazing sales on and then I am set for 6 months.

I’ll keep using the Hemp range, especially the Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Super Natural Enzyme Mask as I have really enjoyed using it.
