Stationary Must Haves

There is such a wide variety of stationary must haves, uses and why you would need them as part of your working/educational life.

I must buy so much in stationary, from the pens to books, literally everything you can think of and the reason I do is because I have my own home office. I work from home so I have to supply my own stationary.

Also I have 2 teenage children in high school so of course they need their own wide selection of stationary.

I thought I would give a new essentials needed for your own home office, around the home or even your children.

Pens and pencils

The most important option is of course pens and pencils.

It’s always a wise idea to keep pens and pencils around the home anyway as you just never know when you need one.

I have an array of pens, from ball point, colouring, fine liner, erasable pens and in every colour imaginable.
The reason for this is because I keep a lot of information noted down in books and colour coding helps me to group things together.

Now you may be wondering how do erasable pens work? The type of ink used in erasable pens is made up of three components, the colour former, a colour developer and a colour change temperature regulator. The temperature regulator then reacts to the heat made by friction, which disperses the microcapsules within the ink particles that then makes the ink turn invisible.

I have also different options for pencils as my son is studying graphics at school so needs an array of different pencil types for his projects.

Paper

From printer paper to drawing paper. There is always a need for paper and it’s a handy thing to keep around the house.

Scribbling little bits and bobs on, or leaving notes.

Post it notes

I find these are super handy. I use them for leaving notes around the house for me, for others and also if I need something for the fridge or a cupboard.

I also use them in books if I need to mark specific pages of value, this is an easy way to use as a bookmark to reference something for later. Even leaving a note of why.

Paper Pads/books

I have a notebook in every handbag, drawer of the house and room of the home as these are handy to keep things in such as dates, numbers or general notes needed for later.

Have a look at these reasons why they are loved so much and super valuable.

Blue Tack

You have probably never considered it but blue tack is really needed. From sticking up little things the kids made to a note on the fridge.

I always keep some in case of emergencies because I know at some point I will need it.

Rulers and mathematics

There is always a time when you need a ruler so it’s easy to keep around the home.

However our kids do need rulers, calculators and other bits and bobs for maths. Usually the school will give you a list of items prior to the first day and they generally have a list online also.

Glue

Keep a range of glues as you never know when you will need it. We have everything from a hot glue gun to glue sticks/PVA glue for the kids and even superglue for when something breaks.

They are handy to keep around the house for emergency situations.

In all, there is a lot of reasons to keep these essentials around as they will become very handy in the future.
