Office 365

Office 365 has quite a wide range of office tools that you can use to make documents, spreadsheets and much more.

It’s very valuable as at one point we need to make some form of document.

Spreadsheets are a great tool for logging things such as costs, payments and various other needs.

You can even use them for organisation even! You can check out AddIn365 for some cooler apps!

Stationary

I don’t know how many times I have said having stationary is very valuable in the home office.

Blank pads to take quick notes of things, sticky notes to remind of upcoming projects and of course a diary.

Another thing you need is an assortment of pens. Loads of standard black and blue but it’s pretty awesome to have some colours to make it a little more fun.

Rulers, calculator and paperclips always come in handy at some point.

Also consider a subscription for your ink so you are not running out of ink.

Apps

Depending on what system you are running on your computer, with the later versions of Windows you can get some pretty cool apps.

Keep a diary of your appointments, deadlines and even some apps colour code or arrange them in categories.

There is also other apps you could consider like weather which is great if you need to do anything outside like photography or planning a trip out.

Firewall/Anti Virus

With protection for your computer, you need to ensure you have a firewall and an anti virus.

Generally your internet supplier will offer one for free for a limited time or at a reduced cost so best checking with your internet supplier first.

If not, then you can purchase a new one and look around for some deals.

Once you have the software, always check to make sure you have the latest updates.

Accessorise Your Desk

Although it’s not for your computer directly, accessorising your home office to make it look nice will help when you are working.

Creating a calming atmosphere will help you focus on the tasks you have at hand. A calming office is always a good plan to help you focus.
