The ‘Running out of ink’ Nightmare

Have you ever been in the position where you are running out of ink?

Most people have had the ‘I am running/ran out of ink and need ink like last week’ scenarios.

I know I have, constantly! It’s an important aspect for me as I work from home so I need to make sure I have these tools ready for me to work.

Working from home does mean I use my printer a lot more than the average household, maybe 20x more.

Most days I am printing something out, even things for the family.

So when I see my paper coming out watered down, I know I am about to run out of ink shortly. Literally within a few more print outs.

Going to a shop to buy some is a no go being housebound and ordering online can take a number of days, especially if I need it asap.

Then I found this genius idea from HP, where you can get your ink on a subscription. This will save you from Running out of ink.

Genius right? I thought so. It’s something you must consider as one of your home computer tools that you need.

Watch the video below which will tell you more about the subscription service and the fantastic idea HP came up with!

The service provides the ink when your printer alerts HP that you are running low, your ink is packed up and shipped out ready for the change over to the new, fresh ink.

For someone like me that is constantly printing out things, this would be a perfect service and I can forget about running out of ink as I will get a new batch ordered as soon as I am low.

You can also save a huge chunk on your ink too, it can be costly but with the prices as low as £1.99 a month including VAT, how can you say no?

Could be a big saving of up to 70%. Would this help your Running out of ink nightmare?

You can just leave it running and surprise, your ink turns up and did not cost you the earth.

So as well as being effective for lack of ink, it also costs you a fair bob.

They also recycle your old cartridges which is environmentally friendly in the long run.

Another fab thing is, it will alert HP when you need ink, getting it to you in time so you don’t have to worry about waiting.

There is 3 different plans you can choose from.

Occasional printing plan, moderate printing plan and frequent printing plan, each telling you roughly how many pages you can print out.

You can also cancel any time without penalty which for example you find you are printing less, you can cancel then restart a few months later.

You are not tried to anything.

You can find more at the HP Instant Ink site and have a look and see what you could save.

How did you find the prices on the site, did you get a huge saving like me?

*Please note this is a collaboration post and I have set this up with my own money for instant ink
