They will message offering you $1000 a week pocket money or something along those lines. As you engage further with them, you will find out they are scammers and ask you to prove you are real and deposit an amount in their cashapp or similar apps to ensure you are real.

Never, ever give anyone money. It does not work like this and it is scammers working at large.

Another way they can do this is asking for your bank details or card details to send over the money. They also say they will send you a cheque and ask for loads of information about yourself. NEVER give this information out.

Ask for payments through a secure site like Cashapp, but be mindful that these sites tend not to like financial domination. Paypal is not recommended either because it bans people for things like this. So think about where you are asking for money to be sent. Venmo is another one you could consider.

Amazon giftcards and other giftcards are a great idea also, that way you don’t give out any personal information. Create an Amazon wishlist as your details remain private too.
