Your Actions Can Save The World With The Environment
Why should I bother has become a popular mindset in the world today, particularly with millennials. Why should I bother trying to do my part to save the planet? We all know that the biggest polluters are companies and industrial businesses. While this is true changing the way you think about the environment will force companies to take action. Here are a few examples of how public opinion has forced companies to change for the better.
Packaging
In the past, packaging was difficult to get rid of and made of material that wasn’t biodegradable. Now, look at the packaging used by suppliers like Amazon. It’s made almost entirely of cardboard. This means that it’s easy to dispose of and there’s no reason for it to be dumped in a landfill. Instead, it can be recycled by the public and the reason for this is customer took action. They forced business owners to offer packaging that was environmentally friendly.
Recycling Trends
Recycling does cost money, particularly when schemes are set up by businesses. They have to market it, provide information and hire a team or company to complete the job. It does take a lot of effort so next time Apple offers to recycle your old phone just remember, it’s costing them money to do that. Arguably, they get any cost they put in back but it still puts extra pressure on their business model. They’re only doing this because customers like you asked them to step up.
