Tips For Better Sleep

Mattress/Bed

The most important part of your sleep routine should be a sturdy bed and a good mattress. Mattresses can cause a lot of problems such as pain. Either the back, legs or hips. A badly made mattress, old mattress or not the right mattress may cause you issues along the line.

It’s worth splashing out some money on a good mattress. If you visit a large mattress retailer, they will be able to tell you which mattress suits your needs.

Some mattresses also have effects such as cooling or warming, so you are not hot or cold. Temperature control is quite important to those that are sensitive to changes in temperate or need cooler/warmer environments. It’s important to have a good mattress if you can’t sleep.

Routine

Having a sleep routine is one of the most valuable things you can implement in your life.

Turn devices off and relax at the same time every night, get yourself ready for bed. Read a book or do something under a low light. Relax!

Try and drift off around the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. It may be hard at first getting into a routine, but once you do, you will feel much better for it.

Aromatherapy/Meditation/Alternative Therapies

One of my favourite things to do before bed is to have some essential oils in my diffuser before bed time. I tend to use more so the oils that help relax, calm and ensure a good nights sleep.

Valerian, Chamomile and Lavender are popular choices.

Meditation is another perfect way to relax. Spend 15-30 minutes meditating before bed and you will feel more relaxed and ready to fall asleep.

Having a warm, relaxing bath can also help make you feel sleepy. Again using essential oils or bath products designed for sleep or relaxing.

Supplements/Teas

There are many over the counter products you can take for sleep. From Lavender capsules to Hops and Valerian. Even Melatonin can help aid sleep.

Delving into herbal remedies, especially those with THC? If you’re considering the herbal path, ensure you have beautifully crafted wooden weed grinders for a premium experience.

There are so many caffeine free teas out there for night time. I have quite a few night time teas with valerian, lavender and chamomile.

Brew one about an hour or so before bed, take in the scent and relax as you enjoy the cup before bed.
