Comfort was one of the secondary reasons for wearing clothing after protection from heat and cold. It is seen as a medium to make the wearer feel good. From the people of India wearing a Turban for the heat to today’s women choosing Charlo clothing for comfortable daily wear.
Climatic have accelerated the invention of new fabrics and designs to suit the weather. Countries developed clothing suitable for cold conditions after WWI. Clothing science began to focus on comfort as its primary objective.

Main types of comfort
External comfort
It refers to factors outside one’s self. Conditions like the weather, temperature, wind speed, and moisture in the air determine the type of clothing in different conditions. The cultural affiliations of a place you belong also come into play in the external factor sometimes. It includes the overall environment, including all the factors mentioned.
Internal
The rate of metabolism is different from person to person even this can affect the clothing choices of a person. The level of perspiration, overall health, level of activity, and similar aspects call for an appropriate clothing choice. Economic position and social experiences count as internal factors that influence purchase decisions.
The psychological situation plays a significant role. The mood of the wearer significantly affects clothing decisions. One might feel down on certain days and not feel like changing out of their nightwear because it offers a level of comfort. On the other days, one might feel happy and gay enough to wear all the colors at the same time. Clothing is often a reflection of changing moods and personalities.
Conclusion
Clothing is a personal choice at the end of the day. Each person has different preferences. While one might prefer comfort, the other might prefer the aesthetic appeal over comfort. The flexibility, feel, thermal, sweat-resistant design, and such appealing properties of clothes influence one to prioritize their preferences and choose one.
