Parental De-Stressing? Is That A Thing?

At times I know I need to totally de-stress and figure out how to create a calm home.
Having 3 lads does mean at times I am on the verge of ripping out my hair!

‘Mum, he did this, Mum he took this, Mum, where is that? MUUUUUM!!!!’ Argh, just stop haha.

Once the kids are in bed, that is my time to chill, to relax and eat food without ‘Mum, can I have some?’

Each night I do something different, if I am not working (I work 7pm-midnight)
I will go review some things on my blog, write some posts.
Do my nails, hair mask, face mask or even a nice, hot relaxing bath with a good book.

Sometimes I just lounge around on the sofa, watching something, anything other than Paw Patrol or YouTube vids and munch on something hidden from the brood.

I know every word to every episode of Paw Patrol thanks to my toddler. I know a lot of the big gaming YouTubers, I just watch rubbish throughout the day.
There is only so much you can watch on repeat before your eyeballs explode.

What is interesting, is a survey from Rattan Direct on ‘What parents do to unwind@ which covers three main things:

1. What parents do to unwind around the home?
2. How are you going to celebrate Christmas this year? (Eek so super close!)
3. Has Brexit actually affected your spending habits around the home and garden?

You can see and fill the survey here.

It’s quite interesting as you can see different ways to relax and unwind and give your tips and tricks.

Also looking into spending, this year I have cut back massively due to a change in career and slowly building my way up the ladder again.
Quite scary doing this, but it had to be done. Many years in the same career was just getting me no where.
I couldn’t wait until after Christmas though? No! I am impatient and it’s paying off.

What are your thoughts on the survey? Are you a super stressed parent and take time to unwind and relax?
