Organii Lavender Cream Soap
I confess, I am a total lavender addict! So trying the Organii Lavender Cream Soap was for me!
I hunt anything lavender down like there is no tomorrow.
It’s such a great scent, something that has helped me through times of stress, panic and various other reasons for it’s use.
Lavender is so beneficial, it can be used for many things.
From healing the skin, bites, irritation, stress, anxiety and even nice in cake (Have you tried a lavender cake? Wow, try it!)
Also calming and soothing for eczema, natural soaps are the best especially for babies.
I am also a hunter of competitions that appeal to me, usually natural products.
I mean come on, can a girl have too much natural stuff?
My friends concur… others may disagree.
So I entered a competition over at Organii on their Facebook wall.
I had looked online at their products and instantly fell in love with so many, I have a list ready for Christmas. With a new baby and Christmas and 12 birthdays due from now until Feb… I am on a spending ban!
The one product that caught my eye the most was their lavender cream soap.
It looks gorgeous and well… as you can imagine, it smells even better!
Firstly, I will explain more about the product.
Organii Organic Vegetable Cream Soap Bars are distinguished by the creamy foam and unique aroma. Lavender natural essential oil is a relaxing traditional lavender scent.
Organii Organic Soap is made in the traditional way using open batch kettles, essential oils and shea butter are added at the end of the process to keep all the benefits of Lavender essential oil and moisturising Shea Butter.
In their cream soap range, they have 6 fabulous scent to choose from:
Almond, Vanilla, Lavender, Lime Blossom, Fragrance Free and Wild Rose.
Another scent I love is vanilla. Curious as to what that smells like…
Anyway, the main point… my review!
Opening the packaging, the first thing that surrounds me, is the scent of the lavender soap.
I pulled it out and noticed it comes in such a cute box, it’s white with funky coloured hands all over the top.
Even cuter, is their logo… I mean a smiley face? How can you not like that!
The packaging is really thick so protects the bar really well from being crushed, bashed and well you know those posties… nightmare!!
Inside is a lovely bar of soap, now the colour I would say is more like a cornflower blue with the smallest hint of lavender.
This bar is soap is not shaped, it looks freshly cut which is even more appealing to use.
Soap loses shape and anything inscribed so to me it seems a bit of a waste of time.
Gives it more of a natural appeal… fantastic.
It’s quite weighted for soap which I do really like.
The scent is immense, you can smell it from outside the box.
It smells exactly like dried lavender. I have quite a few things around the house with dried lavender in, that is how much I adore it.
The texture of the bar before wetting feels exactly like a crayon.
However once you wet it, that is another story!
Hands are filled with the gorgeous scent, the bathroom is filled and also the hall afterwards.
Now don’t think it is really strong, because it’s not, it’s subtle but it seems to float around the house.
It doesn’t foam up much but you get a really good lather out of it.
Now that is how you spot a real good natural soap… hardly any bubbles but a nice rich lather.
More bubbles equals more chemicals. For me, that is a no-no!
Massaging onto the skin is very easy, it has a really silky texture and feels really soft.
After rinsing off my skin didn’t feel tight or tacky like a lot of soaps can make it feel, in fact once I had dried off, my skin felt so soft.
It’s like I had freshly moisturised.
My skin also had a lovely lavender scented soapy smell, which is so beautiful.
It’s such a gentle soap, I even used it on my 8 month old who like me, loves a bit of lavender.
He has eczema so this is absolutely perfect for him too!
It calmed the red patches with one use, I was very amazed! His skin felt really hydrated after use too which as I said before, it can dry out the skin. This was completely the opposite.
There is no better feeling than coming out of a shower or bath chemical-free, nothing but natural products used on my body, and this is why I am making a switch.
You can read about my switch here and read more posts on natural products I tried, tested and loved.
I really enjoy the Organii Rose Liquid Hand Soap and Organii Liquorice Shower Gel
