G & Tea Review – Gin Review of 3 Beautiful Tea Gins

I am here with a wonderful gin review of a brand that kindly asked me to give their delightful gin a test – of course, I had to do a G & Tea Review and talk about 2 great things mixed together. Gin and Tea.

Gin has become so popular in the last few years as there are many ways to change the flavour of gin. But this is so distinctive and different that I had to talk about G & Tea.

I really wanted to talk about this brand and why they caught my eye on Twitter and why I was so excited to give the beautiful gin a review. The founder is also very kind and approachable!

Anyway, let’s talk about the brand, the product and my thoughts! Now – all thoughts are of my own. I am reviewing this because I think it’s fantastic and pictures are taken by me!

About the G & Tea Brand And Product

G & Tea are a British gin company who wanted to make something a bit different using the best botanicals and teas that you can get your hands on. As a lover of herbs and botanicals, this caught my eye right away and I was so excited to give it a try.

They have 3 wonderful gin’s:

Cornish Cream Tea Gin
The Great Earl Gin
Eight Tea Days Gin

I will review each gin separately but my favourite is the Cornish cream tea gin and I will explain further down of why. Hint! It contains my favourite herbs – Rosehips and hibiscus!

What I find even better is they also sell it as a tea! So for those that are tee-total, there is a tea option for you and you can savour the flavour too.

You can get a beautiful taster trio which I have tried or you can get the 50cl version if you want one or even all 3.

G & Tea Review

I really love the packaging for the G & Tea gin trio, the sizes are also really good. Depending on how much you put in, you can get a good few drinks out of them.

There is 3x 5cl bottles of each flavour and delightfully packaged in a box that looks perfect to give as a gift. So you will see this within a gift guide or 2!

Now the packaging for the G & Tea gin is a good, sturdy cardboard and has a beautiful leafy design on it.

Getting into the gin! Each one I served with tonic water and then soda water. I wanted to get a feel for the flavour without any harsh flavours like lemonade. Soda water gave me a great base to test the flavours of these.

I felt having something flavourless would give the best judgement of flavour, but also you can’t not have tonic water.

Everything about the labelling to the packaging is glorious, even the shaped bottles which are different!

The larger bottles are very apothecary-style which is super adorable and for any botany or herb lover – this is for them!

Now, what about the gin? Well, here you go!

Cornish Cream Tea Gin

This is my favourite of all the 3 gins. Although I do love all 3, this one has hibiscus and rosehips as well as strawberry which gives it a light taste, but has a cream tea blend with the richness from scones, clotted cream and jam!

You really can tell that this has the Cornish style taste running through the gin and it is delightfully delicious! I prefer this with lemonade as the lemon really brings that strawberry out!

The Great Earl Gin

A Ceylon tea infused with bergamot, lemon, bitter Spanish orange then also with the Cornish bay leaves and Macedonia juniper.

A fresh and zingy gin with a hint of warmth from the bay and juniper. This really tickles the tastebuds and prefer this with good tonic water.

Eight Tea Days Gin

This was a very close first love as it has apples (gala of course), rose petals, orris root, cassia and exotic grains.

This has the warmth from the cassia and orris root, but a freshness with the apple and the calming rose coming through. Prefer this with soda water as it really brings out the rose and apple.

Final thoughts of G & Tea Gin

Overall, I love the G & Tea gin and I really do highly recommend this to any gin lover!

This will make the perfect gift and really do anticipate more flavours coming out. A beautiful peppermint cream-style tea maybe? I know that would be delicious.
