Considering Different Options For Braces
I happily admit that I don’t have perfectly aligned teeth. This is due to overcrowding, I was born with too many teeth. I have of course been considering different options for braces.
There is several to choose from, but it is finding the one that is perfect for me.
The problem I have, is seeing people with perfect smiles and I start aching for one.
I would love perfect pearly white teeth, straight and no problems.
Unfortunately due to illnesses and medications, I will never have perfect, strong teeth. I came to terms with this.
But in the mean time, I would like straight teeth.
Isn’t it funny we see pictures of pearly white teeth and think ‘Wish mine were like that’ because that is all we see. On TV, in magazines, films… everywhere.
Anyway, I digress.
Back to the options for braces!
I could consider the cheaper option which is the metal braces. But they don’t look comfortable.
I would worry about them catching the inside of my mouth.
With getting ulcers occasionally, I would worry about them.
Next is the ceramic brackets instead of metal. Still has the wire, but ceramic brackets instead so they are tooth coloured.
I would assume I have the same issue of rubbing on the insides of my mouth.
There is also having them on the inside of my teeth, which sounds irritating for me.
I would be worried about catching my tongue a lot.
Another option is invisalign.
Clear aligners that you wear up to 22 hours a day, for 6-12 months.
They don’t look like they would irritate or cause problems and very easy to wear.
But with each choice is costing. Cheapest is your standard metal braces, invisalign are the third expensive.
There is many options and I need to research more before I decide on what I want to do, or just leave them be.
