British Fashion: What Has Changed?

Throughout the years, fashion has been one of those trends that is constantly adapting and having different effects on each individual. Fashion is a form of self-expression and it is becoming more and more acceptable to wear what you like in order to feel comfortable and happy within yourself. This infographic has been bought to you by Stand-out designer clothing and takes you on a journey of British fashion from the years 1950 to 1990. You will soon realise that current trends have been influenced by previous trends and it is no surprise that the majority of these fashion staples have come back round.

Although styles have dramatically changed, something that influences them stays the same. Music. In the 1950s, ‘Teddy Boys’ were known for listening to American Rock ‘n’ Roll. Skinheads, on the other hand, listened to Jamaican music. Punks tend to listen to Punk Rock and Goths listen to heavy metal. Although vague stereotypes, this is usually the case and it can become very easy to tell a person’s music taste judging by the clothes that they wear.  Fashion will forever be an important aspect in anyone’s life and this infographic will be sure to help you distinguish styles and find your perfect fit.
