Balm Balm Frankincense Skincare Review

This is a review of the Balm Balm Frankincense Skincare Set.

Skincare is something I have a slight (cough) addiction to. Okay, more than a slight addiction…
One thing I love more than anything is natural skincare.

I don’t know why but it appears my skin is more suited to natural skincare. I seem to get less issues when using natural products. This also includes make up.

A while ago, I came across a company called Balm Balm and found I really loved this skincare range. I had the Little Miracle Rosehip Serum.
This started my love for natural skincare.

An opportunity arose to try some of the ever so wonderful products again and this was the Frankincense collection.

Included was a wonderful Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm, Frankincense Light Facial Oil and a Frankincense Soothing Facial Tonic.

Frankincense is completely new to me for skincare, I haven’t used anything with this in or as the main property.
Properties of frankincense is amazing, who knew it was actually really good for your skin?

Scent for the entire range is amazing, it is like a pine crossed with lemon scent with a really sweet, woody aroma.
Couldn’t imagine anyone not liking the scent of this, it’s really beautiful with a soothing scent.

Okay so let’s crack on with the review shall we?

Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm

Cleansing balms are a staple to my skincare routine for many reasons. They are super hydrating, deep cleansing and leave skin so soft and smooth.
These are my go to products especially when my skin is really dry and needs some additional moisture.

This Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm is truly one of the best cleansing balms I have ever tried.

Presented in a lovely glass jar that is easy to open and close, with a plastic lid.

The texture of this product is easy to love, at first it feels a little grainy and once you start massaging into your skin, the balm instantly turns into a thick, oily consistency.

Leaving this on for a couple of minutes worked even better, the balm sank into my skin and helped so much with my dryness.

Using a hot cloth to take the balm off my skin which left no residue on my skin at all. The reason I used a hot cloth was because firstly it got rid of all of the product and it also helped get deep into my pores and give my skin a good cleanse.

Cleansing with this balm was such a treat, there was absolutely no tightness after use.
My skin is so soft, smooth and more importantly it is very nourished and moisturised.

Tightness and dryness was no more after using this balm and impressed with this product.
I also found my spots stopped coming up and it helped so much with redness. When my skin was especially irritated, this balm soothed my skin and the redness was gone within 2 days.

Frankincense Soothing Facial Tonic

Another staple in my skincare routine is facial tonics or waters. I find them really good.

Frankincense Soothing Facial Tonic is truly one heck of a product.

Presented in a glass bottle with a spray which gives a lovely fine mist on your face. With 4 squirts, your face is covered in the aromatic tonic and instantly my skin felt no longer irritated or tight.

As the scent is so vibrant, it’s the perfect product for your morning skincare routine.

Straight away, my skin felt instant relief which is very important.
Sadly I do get irritated skin especially from using make up and I found this relieved my symptoms very quickly and hydrated my parched skin at the same time.

If you suffer from sensitive skin then this skincare set will be perfect for you.
As these products help with irritated, red and tight skin with a burst of nourishment.

This products instantly absorbs into my skin and for the first couple of days, I applied twice as my face really drank this in so well.

With absolutely no residue left on my skin and my skin felt soft, smooth and ready for the next steps of my skincare routine.

Should you have any irritation on your face or body, a quick squirt will relieve it straight away.
I even popped a little of this on my eczema and in a couple of days, along with the oil it had gone.

Finding it helped keep my spots at bay and in the first few days, the soreness and swelling had gone down in a couple of hours.

Perfect solution for problematic skin.

Frankincense Light Facial Oil

Oils have been a staple in my skincare routine for many years. Even with oily skin, an oil can help slow down oil production.
Seems scary to use an oil on oily skin but honestly, an oil is so beneficial and takes a good few days to notice the change in your skin.

Frankincense Light Facial Oil is exactly what it says on the bottle.

Presented in a lovely glass bottle with a dropper as a lid. 3 drops is enough to cover your face and neck, it is that light that it covers so well.

Instantly the product absorbed into my skin and left no greasy residue which again is very important with a facial oil. In order for this to work, it has to be super absorbing which this really is.

Scent is important, with a refreshing, slightly citrusy, woody scent I loved using this in the morning especially.

As I said, it’s a really light oil that absorbs rapidly, leaving skin smooth and prepped ready for a moisturiser.

Like the rest of the products, this is perfect for dry, irritated and red prone skin which I have.
Superbly nourishing my skin, this left my skin so nourished and absolutely no tightness whatsoever.

Again, using this on my patches of eczema and within a few days they had gone.

Such a great multipurpose product, it is great for any area of the body.

Redness had diminished in a couple of days and gave my skin the perfect base for make up.
This created the perfect barrier to avoid irritation from make up which surprised me as usually products don’t seem to help.

However this product created such a good barrier, nourishing my skin and I found there was no dry patches on my face after application of make up.

It was also light enough that it did not clog my pores, in fact coupled with the other products, my skin had never been so clear and free from breakouts.

Final Thoughts

Having never had such a fantastic collection of skincare that worked so well together and kept my skin calm, stress free. After a week my skin started to look radiant.
That grey look had gone and redness was diminished within a few days.

Evening of the skintone with reduction of redness helped my skin look radiant and these products created such a good, protective base for make up that I stopped having irritated skin thereafter.
