Apple & Bears Body Silk Collection – Review

Apple & Bears is a new brand to me, I have seen them around but never had the chance to try them before.
I received the full collection of Body Silk in all 4 scents to put to the test and see what I think.

Now they come in 4 different scents – Grapefruit and Seaweed, Honey and Hemp, Pomegranate and Aloe Vera, Bergamot and Green Tea.

Each one has a scent then an additional benefit, like green tea or seaweed.

All 4 products contain a naturally firming ingredient, firming is exactly what I need right now.

So let’s get on with the review

Apple & Bears Body Silk The Scents

 

I adore the range of scents they come in, you would think they were unusual but honestly, they work!

Each scent is different to the next, you can get all 4 and change it up depending on your mood.

Feeling tired and need a perk up? Well use the Grapefruit & Seaweed body silk. With a very faint whiff of grapefruit, it adds sweetness to the scent and the seaweed adds some body.
Combined with the other oils, it makes a gorgeously scented, vibrant body silk that is perfect for the morning.

Honey & Hemp is so relaxing, this is the perfect body silk for night time. With the warm, comforting fragrance of honey combined with the herby scented hemp this creates a wonderful scent for bedtime.

Bergamot & Green Tea is an amazing scent, I have to say this is one of my favourites.
Another fabulous morning body silk as the bergamot is so vibrant and citrusy. The green tea also gives the scent an edge, giving more vibrancy with the body silk.

Finally, Pomegranate & Aloe Vera. This is the sweetest scent of them all, the pomegranate is subtle and gives this a sweet scent instead of tart.
The aloe vera softens the scent and makes that little bit sweeter.
I enjoy using this one when I am off out and layered with a fruity perfume, it seems to make the scent stand out more.

Apple & Bears Body Silk

The formula for each scent is the same, a medium consistency that turns quite watery once massaging into the skin.
Now this makes the body silk so absorbent and there is absolutely no residue left on the skin.

I am left with super soft, smooth skin that feels and looks nourished.

I have really bad dry skin and small patches of eczema, with one use these patches felt smoother. Within a week they had gone completely.

Although the consistency feels really thin, this is a very moisturising product and does work super well on nourishing and plumping your skin.

Now I do have quite horrible thighs that do need a firming product, so that was the perfect area to test this baby on.
Now I have to say, no product will fully firm your skin, ever! But there are products that can help.
The key is to use the same product daily for maximum effect and the more you use, the more firmer your skin will be.
Rome was not built in a day.

The first week I did not really notice anything happening regarding firming but by week 2 I could tell there was a little difference.
If you keep using this product, your skin will firm up some, but your skin will be super smooth.

I love how smooth and silky my skin feels, especially after a few days of use, the difference was huge.

Absolutely no dryness at all and even my elbows and knees were super soft, usually they are pretty dry and a bit rough.

Another thing I noticed after continual use was my skin started to look more radiant. My skin is usually a bit grey looking, however this made my skin look like there was a bit of radiance to it.

I also used this after fake tan, as it is so lightweight and did not strip my fake tan. It also crated a fabulous base before applying fake tan so there was no patches or anything.

Final Thoughts

Really loving this set and will certainly be looking for more products from Apple & Bears.

As you use this product sparingly, a bottle will last a while which means cost effective. I mean for a good brand you expect to pay a little, but when a product lasts for ages you certainly get your money’s worth.
