When I purchased my sewing machine, I had to search for sewing machine essentials that I would need to buy and make sure that my machine is running super well, but also buying things I really need for different projects.

Bobbins

Before you purchase bobbins, check which ones you need as some machines need slightly different bobbins, whilst others can take universal ones. Trust me, you need loads of bobbins especially if you have many different colours of threads! This is something I needed to include in my sewing items for beginners post as I went through all of mine in 24 hours.

You can purchase thread from anywhere online, but if you need it quick, Amazon is a good place to get some for now and then give you time to order some other thread later on. Most of the thread is next day delivery so can get to you quickly.

You need a range of different needles, from your standard needles, ballpoint to leather. Whatever you are sewing, you need to make sure you are using the right sized needle. Foot for your machine

You usually get a couple of different feet for your sewing machine, but they can break or lose them so having the important ones that you use is something you should consider. Make sure they will fit your machine as you don’t want to damage your machine.
