How To Stay Flawless: What To Do If You Have Oily Skin
Are you one of the people giving a huge sigh of relief and saying “Thank God that’s over” now the trend for completely matte skin has started to die down? If you have slightly more oily skin than average, trying to keep it matte is almost impossible. Luckily, there are some ways that you can learn to work with your oily skin and stay flawless…
Don’t Use Harsh Products

You might think that you should use acidic products containing alcohol on your oily skin but the truth is that they often strip it of its natural oils, which basically makes your skin panic and start producing even more oil. Instead, use simple and more natural products – in fact, you can use oil to cleanse with. This might not seem smart but the truth is that fighting oil with oil is often the best way to do it. Just make sure that you keep cleansing your skin every night before you go to bed, and use an electronic face cleansing brush to really clean those pores.
Keep Moisturising

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to have dehydrated skin that’s still oily, so you need to make sure you’re drinking lots of water and moisturising before you put your makeup on. You should make sure your moisturiser has a high SPF. One great way to hydrate your face is by using a clay mask once a week. Another way to stay flawless.
Use Makeup Cleverly
Probably the most important thing you can do to deal with your oily skin is to use makeup cleverly. Start off with a pore minimising primer, and take your time applying it – work it into your pores until the surface of your face is smooth. Apply your foundation with a brush or a beauty blender instead of your fingers, as this will also work it into your pores instead of skimming over the surface. Before you do your eye makeup, make sure that you use eyelid primer first – this will help to lock it onto your face and avoid those terrible oily smears when your eyeliner smudges onto your upper eyelid. Stay flawless…
One of the most important ways to battle oily skin with makeup is through setting powder – RCMA powder, for example. You can set your concealer under your eyes by covering it with translucent powder and letting it ‘bake’ there before brushing the excess away and covering your face with setting powder – just make sure that you don’t leave a white layer behind. Finally, use a setting spray to really lock your makeup onto your face. Through the day, use more translucent powder along with blotting paper to mop up any oil that might make its way through your makeup. Perfect for way to stay flawless
Love Your Skin

If you have oily skin then the best thing you can do with skincare is keep it clean – you’re never going to completely change how much sebum your skin produces, so it’s probably best to try to accept your skin for what it is. Oily skin tends to look younger for longer and have fewer wrinkles, and anyway, the dewy look is back in with makeup. Use highlighter on your cheek and brow bones, blot the oil on your T-zone, and remind yourself that you’re going to look great for many years to come.
