Virtual Receptionist

I’ve always considered having a virtual receptionist if the day came I would need to start taking calls for any specific reason. I don’t know what spurred me into thinking this, but sometimes I am just too busy to take calls.

Family and so forth use a different number that I answer, but business related, I can’t always answer.

There would be so many cost benefits to this long term, so certainly worth looking into something like Receivr or such like.

I know there are so many good reasons for a virtual receptionist, as below:

*More personal than an answer phone
*Can get alerted of more serious matters
*Never miss an important call
*No office costs

Cons

*You aren’t answering the calls
*Costs

Overall, there is more pros to the cons, but cost is of course a massive factor. I would only recommend looking into this if you do receive a lot of calls and need a more professional service than allowing people to leave messages.

As we are slowly moving from brick and mortar offices and people are now leaning to having a home office, having virtual staff may be the way to go.

You can imagine, hiring an office would be costly. You would need things such as a receptionist, assistant, social media managers. Not only paying wages, you are also paying for an office, fuel/electric and even staffing costs such as holidays.

This way, you can get your virtual assistant, receptionist and social media mogul all online and just pay wages directly. Most are self employed anyway.

It’s something worth thinking about if you are looking to run a business from home and need a way to have messages passed along out of office hours or on days you aren’t available.
