Make Up For Ever – New to Debenhams!
It’s here, it is finally here! Debenhams are stocking Make Up For Ever products and I am so delighted! So this review is about the Mesh Pencil Pouch in Large, Smoky Extravagant Mascara, Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eye Liner, Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner and the Rouge Artist Lipstick.
I have been waiting a long time for these babies so when Debenhams ran a competition to try them before they are released in the UK, I just had to get in there… AND I WAS CHOSEN!!
I never received an email and I was stunned when they arrived, I was like whoa baby, these are some good products!
The colours were perfect for me, black and red, how can you complain?
I will go through each product I was sent and give you my honest opinion.
First up is the Mesh Pencil Pouch in Large – make up bag.
It’s a beautiful lightweight bag that is easy to open and holds quite a lot of products!
I could get my basics and a few extras (Okay, a lot of extras!)
You can see through it slightly too as it is mesh so can make sure you have everything just from a glance.
It looks professional, easy to clean and I adore it.
The Smoky Extravagant Mascara I have to tell you about because… I LOVE it!!
It has an interesting shape to the tube and it makes application easier for me personally, it tapers at the top so fits in your hand well as your apply.
The brush is the kind of brush I like, the old style bristle wands. This one is cone shaped though and easily spreads lashes, coating them in mascara and stopping them sticking together.
It gives your lashes a very defined look.
It lengthened them and gave them volume, looking for fuller as mine are like my brows, sparse.
I will update with a picture as unfortunately I was on my way out so didn’t have time to take a pic, plus I am growing out my brows to reshape and they are horrifically patchy!! (Thanks hormones from pregnancy haha)
The mascara isn’t clumpy, it’s a great formula and leaves lashes looking natural and luscious.
Up next is the Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner and boy this is waterproof!
It’s such a vivid black in colour as it is a softer pencil than most eyeliners.
It leaves a lovely black line but not great for buffing out as once it’s on, it’s on!
The pencil you need to take off with eye make up remover, one that is great for waterproof products.
So I put the liner to the test.
I tried several products to try and get rid, most did not and ended up using an eye make up remover that I know gets rid of my waterproof mascara.
It has a soft pencil so it’s easy to draw a precision line.
If you are looking for a pencil that lasts, this one is for you!
I love a good lip pencil but I find they are never intense enough, however the Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Pencil is vivid in colour, it lasts all day until you take it off.
There was no transfer, no patchiness, just a sweep of gorgeous red across my lips.
The pencil is again soft so you can draw precisely on the lips and leave a good layer on there.
The lip pencil did not stain my lips either, even if I left it on all day it was easy to take off with make up remover.
It is really vibrant, usually lip pencils are not very dark or thick and wear off quickly, this one did not.
It looked like a matte lipstick.
I licked, drank brews and ate and there was no transfer at all and it stayed put. I could not even smudge it.
Finally next up is the Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in Moulin Rouge.
A beautiful glossy lipstick that leaves lips looking plump, defined and simply wow!
It’s a gorgeous lipstick that moisturised my lips whilst wearing but I did have to be careful as it did transfer and came off.
It lasts a lot longer than some of my high ended lipsticks so that did make me very happy indeed.
The colour is very vivid, you know when you have a lipstick and it’s your signature lipstick? This one is now mine!
I never had one before so as you can tell, I am elated.
These products are fabulous all in all, enjoyed using them and I will be purchasing the foundation and a blush, I have heard nothing but amazing feedback about the foundation.
Can you believe they are finally here at Debenhams?
Neither can I!
