Have you ever thought about using filtered water?

Have you ever thought about using filtered water?

No? Neither have I… Until recently that is.

After the big water scare we had here a few months ago, it got me thinking about what am I actually drinking?

Why does water taste a little funky straight out of the tap? Even when having a cup of tea or coffee?

Am I mad in thinking it tastes a bit funky? Surely not.

Am I wasting money on buying bottled water all the time for the family?

Have you ever thought about using filtered water?

So the first place I decided to look was on Tesco and their range of Brita products designed for filtering to the finest water around.

However I could not decide which option to go for, there are so many.

I knew I needed a water filter for the fridge, when my children want water or a juice.

Then of course, I needed a kettle! I mean, if I could have a brew and it tasted just right, it would have made my year.

So I have been spending today looking for a water filter and a new kettle and I can just not make my mind up.

If I owned my own house, I would even get myself a Brita Filtered Tap. I mean, a tap that just does it for me? How amazing would that be. Something I have noted for when we buy our own house.
I mean, they even fit the tap for you which is just amazing.

Now kettles, which one do I choose?

There is a lovely one from Morphy Richards and a great price too.

It’s sleek and looks nice, I actually really like this one.

I like the black with the blue tint and it boils up to 6 cups at a time.

Then there is another from Russell Hobbs and I quite like this one too.

It looks awesome and it’s a great design.

This particular one includes the Brita Maxtra Filter. Not to forget the rapid boil for a quick cuppa.

Both have the Brita Filter on them so I know I am getting good water.

Then I thought I would check out the filters for my children.

Do I get one that I like or the kids will like? Maybe both?

So I asked my kids which they thought looked ‘Cool’ as they put it and they chose this one…

Brita Elemaris Cool Water Filter in Black

So they said they want it because it looks awesome and the rest are ‘boring or girly’

It comes with an anti-slip soft grip that I ideally need as I manage to drop items quite often.

It has a 1.4 litre capacity with filter or 2.4 litres without.

They even have it in this funky purple colour that I personally like.

There is one more I really liked and this is the Brita Aluna which is the simple and cheaper alternative.

Looks like it will fit well and can hold up to 2.4 litres of water.

So these are the ones I like, now to decide which to get (I think I will end up with black for both)

I wonder why I never thought of getting one of these before?

I’ve had a few water filters and still continue to use them religiously. No matter what the weather is, I am always using filtered water and making sure we are having water that is purer than what comes out of the tap.

Are you using filtered water? Do you have one that you prefer? There are water softener benefits that you didn’t know about.

Which of these do you like? Leave a comment and let me know.
