Thinking Of Selling At Trade Shows?

So many people like to make things and sell them online, but have you been thinking of selling at trade shows?

I know as a consumer, I like to visit trade shows and buy the odd thing here and there.

I’ve found all sorts from the weird and wonderful, to the most beautiful jewellery or pottery.

Many people I know like to sell their items online but have considered going to trade shows and check the competition as well as selling some wares they have.

Here are some tips if you decide to sell at trade shows.

Thinking Of Selling At Trade Shows?

Choose the right category

There is a whole array of categories with trade shows, from health, wedding, interior, jewellery and so much more. You want to consider expertly-crafted custom trade show exhibits in Portland Oregon if you are trading in the area and choose the right categories available for your items.

Ensure you are choosing the right shows to go to. This will make sure that you are selling to the right target audience or getting the right people interested in what you are selling.

For example if you make wedding flowers, you wouldn’t do very well at an interior show, but would prosper either at a wedding related one, or a floral/gardening related one.

Stock up on items to sell

Making sure you have a good stock of items is worth it, don’t just take a couple as people may want to purchase a couple, or you might have a lot of interest in one particular item.

Keep one as your show piece and do not sell it, this way if you do sell out, people can still see this and dire clt yorder from you.

Make business cards

If you’re looking to discover how trade shows work, then you should know that business cards are one of the most integral aspects of any show, as they’re used to generate leads and provide information for potential customers. For instance, someone may need something that you could make, but not have it available there. Providing a business card means they can contact you at any point to order.

You could discuss bespoke items with people and offer a business card to discuss further.

Have a stock of business cards available for people to take and keep for future use.

Decorate Your Booth

Arrive earlier and decorate your booth so it is eye catching and draws people to come and see your wares.

Obtain some trade show booth design ideas to entice people. Make sure it fits with your theme of what you are selling and consider a banner for your business.

Make people remember you and want to buy from you, whether this is at the trade show or later on.

Talk to People

Talking to people is so important, they can give you so much insight into what you are doing well in and what you need to do more.

People will have an array of ideas to help you and it is worth taking some time to chat and take note of this.

You may also get some design ideas from them of what they would like to see from you.

All in all, there is some great ideas to ensure your trade show booth flourishes.

More importantly, enjoy the time there and make new connections.
