The Best Yoga Mats Around
I spent a lot of time trying different yoga mats and got a lovely list of the best yoga mats. These are cheap and long-lasting, but also giving optimal comfort.
So wanted to talk about yoga mats and how to fund one that works for you but stays within your budget.
You also don’t need to pay a hefty amount for a yoga mat as there are cheaper options around.
Amazon is a great place to find yoga mats and you can get them in a day or 2 (Depending on area and seller).
But I have included other mats I have tried over time.
So let’s get into some mats I really enjoyed!
The Best Yoga Mats Around – In my opinion!
Please note the links are Amazon affiliate links and I do earn a small commission per purchase as advised at the bottom of the post.
These mats I do own and tried out myself, I just like a lot of different types of mats that suit my needs or aesthetic.
After I did my 30 days of yoga challenge, I got buying!
Adidas Yoga Mat
I really liked the Adidas one, I just wish there was a wider range of colours as the shades were not really my aesthetic.
It is non-slip, comfortable and I could move around on it without feeling the hardness underneath. This is a common issue I have with some mats.
Some people prefer a branded one, this is certainly one to consider.
Plyopic Printed Yoga Mat
I love the moon and when I found this printed yoga mat from Plyopic, I had to get it!
This is a really comfortable yoga mat that is soft enough but also has the support I need during my yoga workout.
One of the first mats I purchased and I really love this mat!
It has a lot of grip on both sides so no sliding around and gives you the grip when going into your poses.
It’s a bit of a thicker mat and I had optimal comfort when using this. I could do any position and had the grip, support and also comfort I needed.
Proworks Yoga Mat
Proworks Yoga Mats are sold through Amazon and I found these were very comfortable and easy to use. Priced currently at £23.
They can be used on carpet, wood and laminate floorings and found they were comfortable and I had excellent grip.
I purchased the purple shade for my Proworks Yoga Mat. They do some in a great range of colours.
The bottom has grooves to help with the grip to the floor and the top is nice and smooth, but there is a lot of grip for my feet and hands.
I’d enjoyed the padding between my knees and elbows and could move around, especially using my spine with no pain. Some are too thin and I can feel the hardness of the floor when using my back. This is an important aspect for me.
Soft and durable, this mat will last you a good while.
Toplus Yoga Mat
Toplus Yoga Mat is an eco-friendly mat and a little thinner than the above. Currently priced at £22.94.
This is a mat that has a non-slip suction type of bottom and indentations across the top for a non-slip surface too.
Although this mat is thinner, I found it is reasonably comfortable. Some people prefer a less thick mat and if this is you, then this is an option to consider.
Grip is wonderful, no sliding around on any surface and although it is a little thinner, it’s not uncomfortable.
Given it is eco-friendly too, it’s a good option! This will last too and save you from buying them often.
1pro yoga mat
The 1pro Yoga Mat is a little more expensive but this has a decal on that helps you center yourself and gives you lines for top and bottom to help you with your yoga practice.
Comes in either a lovely green or purple shade.
This one again has an amazing grip on both sides and I found the decals really help keep me centered. I use this one more when I am wobbly and feeling out of balance which I do some days. Perks of Meniere’s disease.
It’s a little firmer but still found I was able to do most of my positions, just spine ones I struggled with and rolling. But that is more my back pain, than the mat. Although it is a little thinner.
Also promoting that eco-friendly vibe we all love.
Final thoughts
I found that the really cheap mats never lasted long, tore easily and were not really good for grip. So I started venturing to Amazon where I found many mats that really helped me and gave em the grip and comfort I needed, without breaking the bank.
The above options have all been tested and I enjoyed using them.

I like the printed one with the moon. You did a good job to descibe the mats so everybody will find one that suits his needs. Thank you

The moon one is my most used, I have a few so I can switch them depending on mood or need -I go for the softer mats when I am in more pain.
