I admittedly still have a love for a good lipstick. I have been using more Matte lipstick or lipkits but I still have a love for a good moisturising lipstick. So when I had the chance to try the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Divine Lips Lipstick how could I say no?
Growing up as a child, Joan Collins was quite a memorable part of my childhood. Both my Mum and my Gran watched many things she was in, notably Dynasty. They watched the re-runs in the 90’s.
I remember one of my first adult books I read was ‘Prime Time’ and I really enjoyed it. This paved my way into women’s literature that even now I still thoroughly enjoy.
When I first heard Joan Collins had her own beauty range, I just knew they would be like her. Elegant but with a touch of fire. This is exactly what this range is.

The 2 shades I received are Alexis and Fontaine. I already have Helene which I still use, in fact I am nearly running out as it’s that well used.
Alexis is a deep burgundy tone, I absolutely love darker shades in winter, especially this colour.
Fontaine is a bright pink that looks absolutely stunning on. More my summer shade.
Packaging right? Have you even seen just how beautiful the packaging is?
The box is sleek, stylish and embossed in gold. One side shows the colour and other side has a beautiful picture of Joan Collins.
The actual lipstick container is just, wow. It’s simply stunning.
It’s a beautiful gold container and it’s very weighted, reminds me of Art Deco. This style of packaging again reminds me of my childhood, I remember something similar my Grandma owned from Estee Lauder.
I have seen that this range would cater to the older generation, but I don’t agree. I am sorry, but I really don’t!
If you want to whip something out of your bag and swipe along your lips, then this is for you.
Just simple, classy and beautiful.
Now the formula.
I found the formula is the same across the range, it’s rich, creamy and super hydrating. I have awful lines on my lips and my lips appeared more nourished and moisturised. A slight plump was noticed.
It’s the most comfortable lipstick I have used to date and believe me, I have a wide selection.
The colours are rich, vibrant and opaque.
Now, is it transfer proof? Well, no. Because it’s such a nourishing lipstick, this does transfer a little when you eat and drink but does not appear patchy or textured.
It wears off really beautifully and lasts hours with no further application unless you eat, drink or kiss.
The sleek, beautiful, stylish packaging encases a gorgeous array of colours.
Plump, beautiful lips with a powerful streak of colour in most shades.
It’s affordable, long lasting and just looks absolutely stunning on!
I will be purchasing more in the range, how could I not?
What do you think of the range? Would you purchase something from Joan Collins Timeless Beauty?
